Below you will find a division into levels along with descriptions. When registering for the camp or training, please provide accurate information about your level. We understand that not everyone will fit perfectly into a specific level. Choose the one that best suits you. If you feel that you fall somewhere in between two levels, choose the lower one.
If you significantly overestimate your skill level, you will usually end up being placed in a group below your actual level after the first training session.
The player is just starting their journey in beach tennis. This is the ideal level for those who want to learn the basics of the game and movement on the court.
The player can keep slower balls in play but lacks experience. The player struggles with hitting the ball with precision and correct spot on the racket and need more practice. They are not yet fully familiar with the basic court positions.
The player can keep medium-speed balls in play but doesn’t feel confident with all types of shots. The player still struggles with controlling the direction, speed, and depth of their hits.
Weaknesses: Difficulty maintaining continuity in the game with faster balls and playing balls outside their “hitting zone’’.
The player has solid technical skills, including control over direction, depth, and the ability to vary shot distances, both on forehand and backhand, at a medium pace. The player successfully uses lobs, smashes, and drop shots. Rarely makes service error.
Weaknesses: Rallies may be lost due to a lack of focus.
The player has an excellent ability to read the opponent’s game and regularly executes outstanding shots. The player is confident in consistent points scoring or forcing errors from the opponent through effective drop shots, lobs, and overhead shots/smashes. The player controls the depth and spin on their serve.
Strengths: Excellent decision-making, strong defence, ability to conceal weaknesses, mentally strong.
Weaknesses: Can still falter in difficult situations, especially under pressure.
